How to Use the Gloria Victis Interactive Map

The Gloria Victis interactive map is the fastest way to find anything in the world — an ore vein, a vendor, a hidden chest or the fort you're about to besiege. This is a short guide to driving it; open the World Map in another tab and follow along.

Finding a place

1. 1Open the World Map — it's the *World Map* button in the top navigation on every page.
2. 2Search by name. Type a town, castle or region into the search strip to jump straight to it.
3. 3Filter the layers. Toggle a category on or off to show only what you care about — hide everything but mining while you scout an ore run, for example.
4. 4Zoom and pan. Scroll to zoom from the whole continent down to a single fort; drag to pan.
5. 5Open a castle. Click any castle pin to open a zoomed-in map of that castle's interior.
6. 6Hover a town to see what it yields at a glance.

What the layers show

Each filter is a real category in the datamined data. Turn off the ones you don't need to cut the clutter:

• Mining — ore and stone veins (limonite, coal, clay, limestone, gneiss, pyrite).
• Woodcutting — timber stands, from common wood to great and fallen trees.
• Gathering — herbs, mushrooms, fruit and wild plants.
• Animals — wolves, bears, chickens and barn livestock.
• Loot — chests, money caches and treasure.
• Vendors — merchants, named and click-to-open so you can read their stock.
• Misc — wild-horse spawns and boats (or use the dedicated Horse Spawn Map).
• Teleport, Depot, Lore, Board — fast-travel points, hauling depots, lore obelisks and contract boards.

Where the data comes from

Every settlement, node and point of interest is datamined from the live game client for the current patch and mapped into the world's own tile space — not hand-placed or guessed.
